I though it would be earlier now than later in life to explain how I grew up and the transformation that’s taken place over the past 27 years. I tried to do that on Antichrist Superstar, but it was much more esoteric and metaphorical, and I don’t think a lot of people understood it. Now people will know the facts, not a version skewed by magazine editors.

Running there, let’s go this way, then this way, but they are over there, so we go that way. Somebody needs to say “Hold on, STOP!, this person deserves their privacy, you are not allowed to go there.” I go around the world running and hiding, I can’t take a walk in the park, I cant go to the store, I hide in the room and it feels like prison.

Before we published the first issue, Mary went around trying to sell ads to Japanese companies. We had a bit of a problem because many Japanese companies didn’t know what a classified ad was.

I think I want to do some stuff with more instrumentation, expand that a little. I don’t know, it’s all about getting in there and getting a rhythm and letting it come. Definitely the hip-hop stuff just keeps growing. I though it was just “Loser” and “Beercan.” That stuff on the first album, those were just experiments. They weren’t premeditated at all. With this album, I really found myself in this place where I knew the song was a hip-hop song. For me it’s the most challenging thing, so of course it’s the most interesting. And the deeper I get into it, the more addictive it is. The form is really conducive to experimentation. There’s only so much you can do with a country song or a hard-rock song. So I guess I’ll just be looking for more possibilities.

In an interview with Vanity Fair Clooney says he would never get married again, referencing his failed marriage to with actress Talia Balsam:
I probably-definitely-wasn’t someone who should have been married at that point. I just don’t feel like I gave Talia a fair shot. I was responsible for the failure of that marriage.
Japan interview
Jackson is interviewed in Japan during a tour. They talk about his concert experience with the love of his fans in different countries versus others, his apprehension before he goes out on the stage, the premiere of the short film, Ghosts. He also talks about his challenge of the writing positive hopeful songs in a world with so much despair. He starts to laugh hysterically at the weird noises in the background that happen during the interview.
I try to be very positive in my songs when I write them and look at the bright side of things and I’m not totally happy with the situation of the world. But I always try to write something with a positive message in it to convey hope to people to make things better and to not look at the downside all the time.

Jackson is interviewed by Molly Meldrum and they talk about the pressure he feels from the hysteria and anticipation of his fans, his obsession with working, about coping with the disrespect constantly faced with the tabloid media. He also talks what he does do when he has a chance to relax.
Yes, I am a workaholic. Uh, I don’t relax really, I don’t sleep a lot, I like to continually… my mind never stops. I’m always creating. I never stop. But, I love a good water balloon fight or you know playing around, goofing off, Nintendo games, arcades.
