Eight terrorsits dead, seven by suicide
The prosecutor’s office says eight of the attackers are dead, seven of them in suicide bombings. The eighth attacker was killed by security forces when they raided the Bataclan concert hall where the assailants had taken hostages. They warn that it is possible that there are terrorists still at large.
Declares State of Emergency
Hollande declares a State of Emergency and closes France’s borders.
As I speak, terrorist attacks of unprecedented proportions are underway in the Paris area. There are dozens killed, there are many injured. It is a horror. We have, on my decision, mobilised all forces possible to neutralise the terrorists and make all concerned areas safe. I have also asked for military reinforcements. They are currently in the Paris area, to ensure that no new attack can take place. I have also called a cabinet meeting that will be held in a few minutes. Two decisions will be taken: a state of emergency will be declared, which means that some places will be closed, traffic may be banned , and there will also be searches which may be decided throughout Ile de France (greater Paris). The state of emergency will be proclaimed throughout the territory (of France). The second decision I have made is to close the borders. We must ensure that no one enters to commit any crimes and that those who have committed the crimes that we have unfortunately seen can also be arrested if they should leave the territory. What the terrorists want is to scare us and fill us with dread. There is indeed reason to be afraid. There is dread, but in the face of this dread, there is a nation that knows how to defend itself, that knows how to mobilise its forces and, once again, will defeat the terrorists.
Obama: attacks ‘Heartbreaking’
President Obama comments on the Paris attacks, saying he has not spoken to French President Francois Hollande but would shortly.
Once again we’ve seen an outrageous attempt to terrorize innocent civilians. This is an attack not just on Paris and not just on people of France, but this is an attack on all of humanity and the universal values that we share. The president He said his team is was still gathering information and he didn’t want to speculate about who might be responsible. [We will do whatever is necessary] to bring these terrorists to justice, and to go after any terrorist networks that go after our people. The French people have stood shoulder to shoulder with the United States time and again. And we want to be very clear that we stand together with them in the fight against terrorism and extremism.
Sulkowicz praises LeBeouf
Sulkowicz praises LeBeouf’s #ALLMYMOVIES performance work.
[It’s] a participatory art piece, a relational aesthetics art piece. It’s not just a stunt. I think there are things to think about in the piece…It’s the most egotistical thing on Earth. Yet, at the same time, because of the endurance quality of it where he has to sit there and suffer through himself, suffer through watching himself, it’s humble and inclusive. Like, ‘I will suffer through this with you guys, if you want.’

Criticizes WSJ, Rove
The WSJ criticizes his trade comments at the debate:
Start with trade, which showcased Donald Trump. “I love trade. I’m a free trader, 100%,” said the businessman, after declaring that he opposed the only free-trade deal currently on offer, the U.S. agreement with 11 other Pacific nations. Mr. Trump called it a “terrible deal,” though it wasn’t obvious that he has any idea what’s in it. His one specific criticism was its failure to deal with Chinese currency manipulation. But it took Rand Paul to point out that China isn’t part of the deal and would be happy if the agreement collapsed so the U.S. would have less economic influence in Asia.
Trump responds:
.@WSJ Editorial Board should review my debate statement re China and T.P.P. and apologize. China not part but will get their way in later.
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) November 12, 2015
Trump also responds to an editorial by Rove in the same paper, that said he lost the debate, by calling Rove a “biased dummy” and a “dope”:
Why does the failing @WSJ write a false editorial about me and let dummy @KarlRove make the same mistake in the same edition of the paper?
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) November 12, 2015
Rove responds:
Free advice @realDonaldTrump: get facts straight, accept legit criticism, develop thick skin, drop childish insults https://t.co/nCeVK4YEhV

Losing championship ‘hurt’
Speaking to italian reporters, Rossi says that it will take months to get over his World Championship loss.
Honestly on Sunday after the race it hurt but it’s a different situation as there is lots of adrenaline. On Monday instead it was tough and yesterday [Tuesday], too, it was quite a struggle. Today [Wednesday] it has been a bit better, but it’s something, a situation, that will take months to – not forget it, because you’ll never forget it – but to come to terms with.
He also questions Honda cancelling its press conference:
I’m curious to see Honda’s telemetry. Oh, they haven’t shown it? Strange! I’d like to figure out how they think they can demonstrate through telemetry that I had kicked him. This is something you should ask them. Poor guys, they wanted to show it but for the good of motorcycle racing they won’t…
Backs Tarantino
The Hateful Eight producer Sher comes to Tarantino’s defense:
I think it’s incredibly unfair. Quentin is a filmmaker who really dives into things very seriously and deeply. And when he does interviews, he really wears his heart on his sleeve and he doesn’t hold anything back. He doesn’t think about how things are going to be packaged into sound bites of this kind of click-bait world that we live in…He’s prepared to not censor himself. He takes the bullets and goes out on the front line on the things that he cares about.
‘Relieved’ affair was exposed
Stefani is reportedly relieved that Rossdale’s affair with their former nanny has been exposed. Source:
No one likes to see the person dragged into the light like this, but in this case there’s a sense of relief people now know what she was dealing with.
Reports say Rossdale was suspicious of her relationship with Shelton, and that he believes she may have been seeing Shelton before they divorced. Source:
The divorce is final, and she’s the one who stood the most to lose, so it doesn’t make any sense. After a lot of the BS stories about Gavin still wearing his ring, she and everyone who is close to her are relieved that truth has seen the light of day.
Cheating details revealed
US Weekly says Stefani discovered explicit texts between Rossdale and the nanny in February — including nude photos of Mann and their plans to meet up for sex — on the family’s iPad. Source:
The iPad was linked to Gavin’s phone. One of the other nannies discovered the exchange and told Gwen.
Sources say Rossdale insisted to Stefani that the exchange was simply “flirtation,. When he finally confessed to the affair months later, he made the decision to end their marriage. The couple announced their plans to divorce in August. Source:
[The admission] completely devastated her. She was mortified, livid, and embarrassed.
Confesses still in love
On Turned Up, Milian confesses that she is still in love with her ex, Lil Wayne
I’ve never loved anyone the way that I love Wayne, not even my ex-husband. I’ve never loved anyone the way that I love him. I’ve never had anyone understand me the way that he has.
Implies 50 Cent is gay
In an interview on Bravo’s Watch What Happens, Fox implies that ex-boyfriend 50 Cent, is gay. When Cohen asks Fox her opinion on 50’s comment that there was “too much gay stuff” on Empire. Fox says:
The pot shouldn’t call the kettle black…Yeah, he just looked like a booty-snatcher on that one to me
Doesn’t enjoy electronics
Marquez says he is not happy with the new ECU unit.
We play with many things, work a lot and the problem with the electronics is that you make five laps and then you stay half an hour or one hour in the box trying to fix. We need time to try and understand it well. At the moment I’m not enjoying it a lot. The thing is my bike didn’t spin. It’s just moving and cutting and I think we are far from the potential of these electronics. At the moment I still didn’t understand well. I’m riding fast and pushing but I want to understand it better for the slides and all these things
Peer-to-peer payment app
Apple is talking with banks about developing a peer to peer payment service that would let those who own an iPhone send money to one another as easily as they send messages, Apple says it wants a bigger portion of the mobile payments industry. The new service is expected out some time in the coming year.
Valencia Test Day 2
Rossi ends the two-day Valencia test in seventh overall after adjusting the settings of his bikes to match the Michelin tyres. He clocks a personal best lap of 1’31.498 on lap 57.
The second day, for us, was quite positive. It was a long day, I did a lot of laps and I tried to improve my feeling with the new tyres. I‘m quite happy because in the afternoon my lap times were not so bad. I did long runs to understand the tyres and I was always quite fast. We improved the bike a lot compared to yesterday and the tyres, especially the front gave a better feedback and this is the most important. We also worked a little bit on the electronics systems for next year, which has already improved a lot compared to yesterday, but we still have work to do.
Obama, Netanyahu meet
Minister Netanyahu meets with President Obama about the security of Israel. President Obama says that Israel’s security is a primary focus of his administration and he’s committed to using the resources of the United States to help keep Israel safe.
As I’ve said repeatedly, the security of Israel is one of my top foreign policy priorities and that has expressed itself not only in words but in deeds. We have closer military intelligence cooperation than any two administrations in history. The military assistance that we provide we consider not only an important part of our obligation to the security of the state of Israel but also an important part of US security infrastructure in the region as we make sure that one of our closest allies can not only protect itself but can also work with us in deterring terrorism and other security threats.
Prime Minister Netanyahu also expresses his appreciation of the strong bond that exists between the United States and Israel.
We’re with each other in more ways than one and I want to thank you for this opportunity to strengthen our friendship which is strong and strengthen our alliance which is strong.
Valencia Test Day 1
Rossi tests out the 2016 Yamaha M1 with new electronics and Michelin tires at Valencia. His best time of 1’32.401 puts him in twelfth place.
It‘s a big change and it will be interesting, especially the tyre will make a big difference for next year. A lot changed, especially the setting, the weight distribution of the bike and everything. It looks like our competitors are a little ahead, because they‘ve made more kilometres with the Michelin, but it‘s just the first day. I also tried the new electronics and also that, as I expected, was quite a big step because it‘s like going a little bit into the past. However, that too could be interesting and it‘s only the first day, we have a lot to work on. The rear tyre is very similar and Michelin is good, it has very good grip. The front is the big difference.
Elba to open Berlin tour date
Madonna announces that Elba will be the opening act for the Berlin stop on her Rebel Heart tour.
Explains why he turned down reboot
Moranis explains why he turned down appearing in the new all-female Ghostbusters reboot:
I wish them well. I hope it’s terrific. But it just makes no sense to me. Why would I do just one day of shooting on something I did 30 years ago?..I took a break, which turned into a longer break. But I’m interested in anything that I would find interesting. I still get the occasional query about a film or television role, and as soon as one comes along that piques my interest, I’ll probably do it. [But Ghostbusters] didn’t appeal to me.
Second on grid, will challenge Lorenzo
After final free practice, Marquez will be second on the grid at Valencia, after Lorenzo. Rossi will start at the back of the grid. Asked about whether he would challenge Lorenzo in the final lap:
It will be interesting to arrive in the final lap like this. But if I see the space and it’s clear, I will try [to pass], because in the end the best way to finish the season is with a victory. Like in Australia, if there is a lot of risk, we will see. If it’s a closing gap or a small space, I will try.
However, Marquez says Honda is currently struggling for long-run pace compared to Lorenzo, as high temperatures are causing problems with tyre overheating.
Nobody expected this temperature. We are struggling there. We’ve tried to change the balance of the bike to avoid these problems, but when you avoid a problem, another one is coming. We’ve tried to manage well but they say tomorrow will be a little bit colder and maybe that will help us.
